Sopron dental vacation destination

Sopron is situated 60 kms south-east of Vienna, directly at the feet of the Alps and with its 60000 citizens it is the second largest town in the region. Sopron is one of the oldest towns of the country and it is a bridge between Hungary and its Western neighbor, Austria.

In 1921 a referendum was held in Sopron in which the citizens of the town could decide whether they wanted Sopron to belong to Hungary or to Austria. With this referendum they could also decide whether they wished their country to belong to the „rich west“ or the „east“ of the time. Since the citizens of Sopron voted in favor of Hungary, the town has been referred to as the "town of faith".
